Provide level 2 operations support to our global clients’ Storage and Backup environments

About the Role
  • Administer, maintain, troubleshoot and support large multi-platform Storage environment that includes large fibre channel SAN with multiple directors, servers, storage frames technologies
  • Work closely with network, application, and middleware teams to support Storage SAN, NAS, Backup & Archive product installations, customizations, and deployments.
  • Identify, analyse and resolve problems specifically on storage, backup and in general, cross platform environments 
  • Responsible for all aspects of Storage operating system support including software updates and upgrades, performance management and capacity planning for the Storage environment
  • Perform routine, planned and emergency maintenance (change planning and implementation) of storage data canter equipment
Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or technical institute degree/certificate in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • Extensive experience in one of the following: SAN “Brocade”, “Cisco” or equivalent, Block “EMC”, “IBM” or equivalent, NAS “NetApp” or “ISILON” or equivalent, Backup ‘Avamar’.
  • Relevant certifications a must (either of EMC and NetApp, AND preferred at least one of IBM storage, EMC Networker, Symantec NetBackup, CommVault)
  • Experience working within an enterprise ticketing system – incidents, requests, change control – preferably Service-Now
  • Demonstrates knowledge of a broad range of hardware and software products
