Our client in Southwest Sydney is a leading worldwide logistics organisation seeking a Procurement Officer to join their team.
Overview of the role:
- Identify potential suppliers and manage the procurement process from start to finish, including supplier selection, negotiation, and contracting.
- Manage vendor contracts to ensure that terms and conditions are met and that the company receives the best value for money.
- Ensure that the company has adequate inventory levels to meet production demands while minimizing excess inventory.
- Implement cost-saving strategies to minimize procurement expenses while maintaining the highest level of quality and service.
- Maintain a positive relationship with suppliers to ensure that the company receives the best possible service.
You will be required to work 5 days a week on site.
About you:
- Strong negotiation, communication, interpersonal and influencing skills.
- Experience in a similar role
- Logistics Industry Experience
- Sound analytical and strategic mindset.
